Excellent doctor to patient and communication. Professor Lloyd carried out a keyhole surgery operation to repair a hernia which is has had a number of advantages over open surgery. A very quick recovery time; I had the operation on Tuesday morning and went on a 15 mile bike ride on Thursday evening!

I was fortunate to be admitted to the Nuffield Hospital as an NHS patient for a gall bladder operation after experiencing several acute episodes of painful flare ups which were very debilitating. On the day of my surgery I was appointed my nurse named Donna who explained what would be happening pre and post operation and that Professor Lloyd would also see me pre and post operation. I appreciate the care and expertise I experienced that day as every member of staff put me at ease so by the time the anesthetists came to collect me I was prepared and ready for the operation. After the operation Professor Lloyd explained that the operation went well and Nurse Donna gave me my post operative paperwork and medication to ensure that I continued with the recovery. 2 Weeks later I am feeling well on the way to total fitness and cant thank everyone enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Professor Lloyd saved my husband’s life on one particularly difficult occasion. His speedy response and total dedication saved the day; his professionalism and duty of care were outstanding in every possible way. Professor Lloyd frequently went beyond the call of duty for both my partner and me. We are indebted to Professor Lloyd, and I only wish that all medics were as committed and honourable as he has has been in all his dealings with my lovely partner, who sadly died in February. I need to point out that unfortunately my partner was no longer Professor Lloyd’s patient at the time of his death. In our opinion, he is without doubt one of the most talented and skilled medics we have ever encountered. Thank you, Professor Lloyd!
